Next to the Cove is a cave system that runs through the mountains. It's huge and there are multiple areas that open up to the surface. The caves themselves are big enough for a full grown dragon to fly through, and they're very well lit. Often, you can see dragons flying above them, and serpents watching from below.

Kadek sat in one of the entrance area, where the ceiling of the cave-room opened up to the sky, and moss crawled down the walls of it. He was awaiting his mentor, and perhaps other apprentices if they would join along the fighting lessons. His claws curled into the dirt, a puff of smoke leaving his nose as his brow furrowed. I need to get better. I should be out there helping in the war, but instead, I'm stuck here. He thought in an irritated manner.
