appearance. max is fair-skinned with hazel eyes and curly brown hair. his eyebrows are thick and dark, and his lips a pale pink. he has a heavy british accent.
accessories and scars. max has a few jagged scars across his body in various places from stupid things he did as a child, and a tattoo of a devil tarot card on his right shoulder.

personality. max is a true scorpio at heart. he's extremely stubborn and won't take no for an answer. he prefers getting things done himself rather than relying on others. he's very charming and will flirt with anyone that walks past him. max has a sharp sense of humor, sarcastic and cynical. he's sort of hotheaded and has a short temper, but won't act on it unless he really wants to. he also has an attention span of about one second. something you wouldn't expect from him is that he loves to work in ceramics-that was all he did in detention in high school. he's cute and immature and hyper, making a good friend to anyone who's willing to approach him. once you befriend him he's overprotective and always listening - if you have a secret, tell it to max, because he will take it to the grave. befriending max comes with a price, though. be prepared to deal with him messing with you all the time, whether it be manipulating your reflection or sticking his homemade ice down your back.

powers.
reflection manipulation. max can manipulate the science of reflections. he can also create and shape reflections by taking mental control of mirrors and other reflective surfaces. he can easily change reflections, as well as turn the reflections inside out and make them real or make reflective surfaces into prisons or storage spaces. his heart rate can increase at an alarming rate whenever he tries to manipulate larger reflections.
cyrokinesis. max can create, shape, and manipulate ice. he can change the state of water from solid to liquid with ease, and can construct them into anything for his own personal use. unlike most people, he can create ice without the need of a source, but only in areas with high moisture in the air. being a recent admit to the sanctuary, even using his element causes nosebleeds and, sometimes bleeding gums.
cold manipulation. max can reduce the kinetic energy of atoms and make things colder, ranging from the subjective feeling of cool to absolute zero. however, it causes him great pain to use this, often bleeding from the ears, nose, and mouth. this power is also easily negated by heat.
illnesses. type one diabetes

past. max was born in england to a middle class family. he had an average life, average home, average everything. he was born with type one diabetes, but it didn't affect his life too much until the radiation from the sanctuary worsened it. max was so bored of going home everyday, which led to him getting involved with the wrong group of kids. he gained the reputation of a bad boy rebel at school, and got expelled in ninth grade for showing off his new knives in class. he usually stayed at friends houses, his parents rarely cared where he went, and he never even told them about being expelled. he had a relationship with a guy named danny, but it ended quickly because max was just bad at maintaining it and got distracted too easily. when he was seventeen he was sent to juvie for shoplifting, but when he was affected by the radiation from the sanctuary, he was forcefully moved there. he's been through a lot and tries not to get into too much trouble-he even studied the law and some history books in the library to come off as a good guy to the workers. he's still relatively new and has a hard time maintaining his powers, but he did befriend a few girls who shared interest in art like him.
