past. mary-rose was born in mexico to an extremely rich and successful family, so from the start she was used to getting things she wanted with her charm. when she was fifteen her parents were killed in a house fire while she was at school, so she was forced to live in a hotel for quite a while. she was given an opportunity to study abroad and she went, the last stop being a tour of one of the first sanctuaries, where the repopulation project was growing more popular. mary-rose was so intrigued that she left behind college and enrolled to become a worker at sanctuary 038. her major helped her become a renowned psychiatrist, and she's learned to become friends with the patients instead of being rude. she's a bit of a badass and a lot of people are scared of her, but she prefers that over being shunned like she was in elementary school.
