Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Fri Aug 30, 2019 2:38 pm

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park sits within the boundaries of Cambridge and Sanctuary 038 and is popular for both summer time and winter time activities from canoeing to fishing. The river is abundant with fish, local favorites being perch, trout, crappies and walleye. Set up along the dock are many traders and merchants, as well as some usually abandoned apartment buildings. On the marina are larger boats lined up for miles, and blinding red buoys indicate how far they can go until you reach shallower waters where the fishers and smaller boaters are.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Fri Aug 30, 2019 3:51 pm

Adelaide flipped herself to the other side of her bed, groaning as early morning light began to flicker between the cracks in her shabby blinds. She pressed her hands to her ears to cover the muffled chirps of birds outside her windowsill and the not-so-muffled shrills from her parakeet in the next room. She sighed dramatically and lifted herself to her feet, slipping into some sandals. She loved her bird to death, but she would rather listen to the monotone beeps of her tablet's alarm clock than him. She opened the door to the room where his cage was set up, a room she calls his but is really just a storage area. She refilled his food pellets and shut the cage again, tapping his beak as if to assure him she would let him out soon. Addy then retreated out the kitchen and pulled a pan out of the cabinet, grimacing at the grime still left around the edges. She wiped it off with her shirt and poured some pancake mix into it, setting the stove top on and rummaging through messy drawers to find a spatula. She reminded herself that she didn't have to work today unless she needed money, which she did, but maybe she and Persephone could plan something fun out of the day.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Quake Fri Aug 30, 2019 4:00 pm

Persephone groaned as she woke up on the floor, surrounded by fur. Staying still for a moment until she started hearing the parakeet, she finally opened her eyes and attempted to wiggle out of the knot her leopard had managed to tie her into without waking said leopard up. Eventually, she gave up and gently pushed his legs off of her, sighing then looking up at the bed. Unsurprisingly, there was the ferret and monkey. With a roll of her eyes, she shoved herself up to her feet, stepping over the leopard and walking out of her room. Dipping her head as a way to say 'morning' to Addy, Seph moved over to the fridge and pulled out an energy drink, shutting the fridge and pouring the drink into the first glass she picked up - a wine glass - before drinking the entire glass nearly in one. Then she refilled it, moving the bottle back into the fridge and quickly turning around as she heard the sounds of the monkey entering the room. "No," she attempted, holding her finger out as she watched him come closer. "No hyper juice for you, sir."

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Fri Aug 30, 2019 6:29 pm

Addy turned at the sound of footsteps and smiled at Seph, but stuck out her hand to stop her before she could get close to the pancakes. "Change your clothes so we don't end up eating leopard fur for breakfast," she raised her eyebrows and pursed her lips, although her eyes danced with amusement. She had grown adjusted to the "familiars" that Seph had brought along with her during her escape from the Sanctuary, even though she still didn't trust them too much around her parakeet. She shook her head when Seph took a sip from the energy drink, and sighed over dramatically to enhance it. "Why would you drink that so early in the morning?" she asked, and to her better self jumped a little when the monkey ran into the kitchen.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Quake Fri Aug 30, 2019 6:56 pm

Seph rolled her eyes, smiling anyway. Finishing the glass, she put it down and picked up the monkey as he jumped up. "Energy drink. Energy," she said, her tone suggesting it was obvious as she walked back over and put the glass in the washing up, monkey still wrapped around her chest. Moving over to the table, she pried the monkey off and put him down on the floor, pulling off her pyjama shirt and tossing it through the open door onto her bed. Standing in her tank top and shorts, she ran her fingers through her hair again then moved back into her bedroom, grabbing another loose shirt and throwing it on over the top. Walking back into the room, she looked at Addy with her hands on her hips. "Good enough?" she asked dryly, her eyes showing her amusement anyway.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Fri Aug 30, 2019 7:26 pm

Addy watched the monkey suspiciously as she put out two plates on the small dining table in the corner of their cramped kitchen, three slightly burnt pancakes piled onto each. She took syrup and Nutella from the cabinet and slid it onto the table before looking up at Seph. She gave her a thumbs up and chuckled. "Good enough," she tucked a strand of her frizzed brown hair behind her ear and sat down in her chipped blue chair. "We need more Nutella." was the last thing she said before spreading a wad of the chocolate over her pancakes and taking a huge mouth-watering bite.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Quake Fri Aug 30, 2019 7:48 pm

Seph sat down at the table, spreading too much chocolate on the pancakes before taking a bite, nodding. "This is good," she commented, the hand not holding the pancake holding her hair back so it wouldn't get chocolate on. "Nutella's cool, chocolate's better," she added after she'd finished the mouthful, immediately taking another bite.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Tue Sep 03, 2019 7:51 pm

Addy laughed, wiping her lips with a napkin before taking another bite. "Nutella is literally chocolate," she mumbled as she rapidly chewed her pancakes. She darted over the jar and read the label carefully before pursing her lips and turning back to Seph. "Okay, hazelnut spread, but it's the same thing." she grinned and took her last bite before getting up and bringing the entire pan over to the table. She gestured to Seph in a 'do you want more' sort of way before scraping two more from the pan and onto her plate. She spread out the Nutella and licked the butter knife before tossing it into the sink, a loud clatter echoing against the walls.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

"You disgust me," Seph deadpanned, watching the knife fly and leaning back from it, scrunching her nose up at the loud noise. She tilted her head, waiting for the loud cat screech to come from the living room and sighing, shaking her head. "I'm good, anyway," she added after the cat came storming out of the room, stroking her head and ruffling her fur slightly. "Look at you, you're awake," she grinned, cooing in the leopard's ear as said furry animal gave her an unimpressed look.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Sky Mon Nov 18, 2019 5:46 am

ooc: i think i can post elizabeth here, right? :>

Elizabeth rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, unable to stay in her bed anymore after all the noise going on in the kitchen. With a tired groan, she shuffled over to her slippers and stretched her arms over her head with a yawn. Once she reached the kitchen, she plopped into a chair and grabbed a couple pancakes, deep eye-bags obviously visible on her exhausted face. "'Morning," She muttered as she added butter and poured syrup onto the breakfast. She did a double as she noticed the leopard with Persephone in the living room. "I'm never going to get used to that," She added in, her eyebrows raised.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Quake Mon Nov 18, 2019 1:17 pm

“Lizzy!” Seph greeted with a grin, leaning away from the leopard and waving to the slightly younger girl. “Mind the monkey,” she added as an afterthought, the silver monkey coming running out of her room a few seconds after she said that. She rubbed her temple with two fingers, wincing slightly, and ran her hand down Hecate’s familiar’s back before continuing to eat. Having just relived this day, far more times than was healthy, she knew the headache would be a killer. But it was worth it for the map she sketched out once more as soon as she woke up again at midnight. Ah, the magic of her sisters’ magic... well, to their familiars, who passed it on to Seph to tell her she could get inside once they broke the entrance for the 30 minutes Seph needed to enter. Find the blueprints, scan them, die, repeat. Eventually she remembered them enough to copy them, and then the day went back to normal just with a killer headache added to the mix. And she hadn’t specifically said she’d stop using her power in unhealthy ways. Maybe. “Nice to see you, have you tried Addy’s Nutella pancakes? Disgraceful.”

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Fri Nov 22, 2019 6:49 pm

Addy swallowed her last bites of her pancakes and waved to Elizabeth as she took her dirty dishes and ran them under the sink, turning the knob all the way to the left and waiting for the hot water to bubble up. "What, now everyone's here?" she said as she turned to see Seph's monkey joining them at the table as well. Although she spoke with a strict tone, her eyes always glinted with amusement. "I hope you guys slept well, because I need to go on a big errand run today, and I'll need some help." she winked, referring to the last time she disguised them to help her while grocery shopping.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Quake Fri Nov 22, 2019 7:10 pm

Seph immediately groaned, burying her face in the monkey’s fur. She had forgotten about that the previous times she’d lived the day, mainly because she was busy trying to remember the blueprints. “Yeah, yeah,” she whined, releasing the monkey. “Can I at least bring Cir? If she’s awake?” she asked, referring to Circe’s familiar - the ferret, the smallest (and least conspicuous) of the animals. Katy was too exotic as a monkey and Nee was too big. “3, 2, 1,” she hummed, and said ferret came running out of the room the moment she hit 1, jumping up onto Addy.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Sky Sat Nov 23, 2019 7:11 am

Elizabeth only rolled her eyes. "Nutella pancakes are the best!" She retorted, shaking her head in disappointment playfully. Liz finished up her pancakes, and followed Seph's groan, too lazy to get dressed in disguises. "What are we doing this time? Hunting down the best looking potatoes?" She groggily said as she got up and washed her plate.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Sat Nov 23, 2019 1:29 pm

Addy rolled her eyes, turning and lowering herself to let the ferret jump onto her. She couldn't help but smile as she started petting her, and nodded. "I guess so," she said, picking Cir up and putting her on the now empty dining room table. "And that's exactly what we're going to do. My paycheck is coming in the mail today, so we need to do some bulk shopping to prepare." she explained, holding up her outdated portscreen to show the weather forecast for the next week, indicating a huge storm.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Quake Sat Nov 23, 2019 5:54 pm

"My head hurts too much for this," Seph whined, the ferret crawling up her arm and around her neck. "I just wanted to sleep all day," she added, rubbing the back of her neck above the ferret and getting up from the chair, kicking it in. She peeled him off and put him down on top of the leopard, brushing her hair off her neck and giving the two a salute. "Anything specific for our disguise? Want the full treatment, sunglasses and a cap?" she asked, sarcasm drifting into her tone as she walked towards her bedroom and looked through her wardrobe, taking off the loose shirt and tank top to replace it with another tank top and a jacket, then different shorts. Easy, problem solved. She walked back over to the table, jumping onto it and sitting with her legs swinging.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Daisy Fri Nov 29, 2019 5:21 pm

Addy chuckled and rolled her eyes, following Seph down the hallway and turning into her own room to change into a pair of ripped black jeans, a stained white tank top, and a woven cardigan. She squeezed some gel into her hair and worked it in so the frizz stayed down, and then joined Seph in her room. "I mean, of course," she laughed, opening the small closet and going through Seph's wardrobe. She got on her tippy toes to reach the shelf above her, which had stacks of hats and other miscellaneous clothes that didn't belong on hangers. "Well, for starters we should cover your hair. Hair makes or breaks your face, so if anyone even notices you, it would take a while to process." she explained, handing Seph a beanie that matched the color of her jacket. "Stick all of your hair into that and grab some sunglasses. Same for you, Liz!" she finished her sentence with a yell to Liz, who was probably still in the kitchen.

Seph rolled her eyes but complied by throwing her hair over her head and scooping it into the beanie. It was long enough that most of it went in, but some reddy blonde strands slipped out anyway. She took out some gold-rimmed sunglasses and pushed them on, giving Addy a short bow before leaving the room to walk out towards Liz. "Easy. Done," she shot back, turning and winking - even though Addy couldn't see it behind the sunglasses - and then walking the rest of the way to Liz. "Don't suppose you've got a ferret sized bag?" she asked the other girl, rubbing her head once more and starting to rummage through the cabinets above her head.

Cambridge's Long Wharf Park Empty Re: Cambridge's Long Wharf Park

Post by Sky Mon Dec 02, 2019 7:32 am

Liz finished up getting into a new set of clothes, including her favorite hoodie. Without a glance she tossed a shoulder bag, perfect to fit Seph's furry friend in it. "Yep," She said in response, still digging through her drawers to find her sunglasses and hat, "But if your ferret pees in there or something, you're washing it out!" Liz finally stood up with a triumphant grin as she found her baseball cap, before placing it on her head with the sunglasses underneath. "I'm set to go!" She yelled from the hallway now, waiting by the door.
