azrail's goal is to escape the sanctuary, much like every other patient there. he wants to discover the world outside of it, and he's sure there's more out there than the cold floors and dull food he grew up in. putting on a cool, and charming demeanor, azrail can easily play dumb around his psychiatrists and guards. he doesn't care what they feel or think, they are only pawns on his chessboard, thus, he will go to levels a human with even the slightest of morals wouldn't go, without thinking about it twice due to his apathy. however, he will wait for the right moment. he is highly intelligent and cunning, so trying to escape on his own without enough information or tools wouldn't work.

when isaiah burgess and neria gold begin to plot to take over the sanctuary, and winde up successful, azrail will play along with the games, although isaiah may assume he has the upper hand because of azrail's ease of hiding under his radar, he will work against him in the end. gaining either his trust, or ignorance, azrail will use that for to his advantage, and when the government takes back control over the sanctuary, he will most likely aid them, and work his way through escaping next.

during the time the patients have escaped, where he stands is neutral to him. he can switch sides in a blink, as long as it benefits him and and what he wants. most likely he will gather a bunch of emotionally weaker people with powers, who's anger and bitterness have overcome them, leading them to want to take revenge on the people who shunned them; and manipulate them through the process. azrail will find it fun, as if he was playing a strategic game as the character of some powerful god.
