Tribe of Silver Phantoms Marsh

The wet marsh stretches across the southern reaches of the Tribe's territory, butting up against their border with the western territories. While some cats in the Tribe are unhappy about putting their paws in muck and prefer to stick to the more hidden and less wet part of the territory, most are fine with hunting here. There is little cover aside from the scrubby plants that grow around the marsh, but a cat with patience can use the longer grasses to their advantage. Waterfowl like ducks, geese, and herons can be taken down here, though the bigger ones often pose a threat and require more than one cat, especially when mother birds are protecting eggs or chicks. Amphibians are common prey here, too. In The Time of Freed Water, the ground itself is a threat here as much as any predator; the extra water can hide roots or quicksand that will trap and suck a cat to their death by drowning. The marsh is the best location in the Tribe's territory to find herbs.
