Sanctuary 097 Communal Showers

Sanctuary 097 Communal Showers is where patients can go for hygiene purposes during their roaming hours (remember that each level has two toilets outside the rooms). It is located on Level 3, along with all of the miscellaneous rooms. A long row of stalls in an insulated room stand, with a shower head inside and white curtains for privacy. After the row of shower stalls finish, about five stalls with just toilets are located. On the other side of the stalls is a line of sinks and cabinets that hold towels, feminine products, and other objects for hygiene. Each sink also has a bottle of toothpaste and a cup of disposable toothbrushes, as well as toothpicks and floss. Any special items patients may need is usually held inside the large cabinets. The floor has shiny black tiles and a white drain in the middle since most people will be walking barefoot after a shower. There are no separators between boys and girls here, since it's deemed unnecessary if they already have private curtained stalls. Workers are also free to use these showers, but they are rarely found.

Eleanor walked into the showers, wrapped in a towel/dressing gown because she didn't particularly want to have to leave her clothes in some cupboard where anybody could steal them. She took another towel out of one of the cabinets, leaving it on the sink and going into the shower. She hung her gown up outside the shower, then entered.

Maia had just woken up, immediately rushing out of her room to the communal showers. It was her daily morning routine, ever since she had been taken to the Sanctuary. She couldn't explain it, not even to her best friends. Sometimes, she could barely understand why her mind was working against her, telling her that she had to wake up and take a shower, or else something bad would happen. There was no point in fighting it, so she succumbed to the power of her own mind. She sighed heavily, rummaging through the small linen closets. She picked out a pair of black towels, one smaller than the other for her hair, and a 3-in-1 body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Holding her items tightly under her arm, she looked through the small cupboards for an open and clean space to put her clothes.
