The Town of Skadi is settling in a valley within the snowy alps surrounding them. It isn't as cold and the weather is much more tamed there, perfect for living conditions. It is named after the Norse goddess of winter, bowhunting, and mountains since Skadi helped with keeping the area secretive with deadly snowstorms surrounding the outer mountains. The town is filled with stone cottages and small farms/gardens for growing food as well. 
(It is not always cold and snowy, they do have a warm summer/chilly, but partially green spring.)
