appearance. camellia is a slender dark-skinned girl with hazel eyes and long brown hair. her lips are thick and naturally red, and her nose is very wide. she parts her hair in the middle and likes adorning the sides with small hairclips she brought from home. she is average height and has very defined cheekbones.
accessories and scars. camellia wears two silver rings on each finger that her mother gave to her before she was taken to the sanctuary. she has a deep scar down her back from being struck by lightning.

personality. camellia likes to think of herself as a healer of emotions. she is extremely nurturing and sympathetic, making for a great therapist to other patients. her usually successful work with friends completely flips when applying to herself; her emotions are somewhat unstable but most times she'll try and keep it locked. when her emotions build up she is known to lash out at others and will sometimes just sit by herself for a few hours, thinking over her life choices while simultaneously drowning in her own tears. her honesty makes her a favorite for most of the guards, but she usually offends people without meaning to. the saying that curiosity killed the cat definitely applies to camellia; as a child and even now in the sanctuary she was always running towards an interesting object that might be dangerous instead of running away. she's quite a bit of a risk-taker, and is intrigued at all the different patients in the sanctuary and how they all fit into the larger puzzle. despite these aspects, she isn't very ambitious and loves being the person that everyone goes to when they're in trouble. more than anything she just wants to be respected, and her goal in life is to have an impact on the world.

powers.
hypermotility. camellia has drastically enhanced reaction speed and near superhuman physical conditioning. she can dodge bullets, catch falling objects, and protect others as well. sometimes it is difficult to keep up with her reflexes, and she can grow extremely tired after just one use.
electrokinesis. camellia can generate yellow-orange burning electric shocks and bursts from her hands. when she uses this power her irises glow the same color as the electricity. this allows her to use her hands as defibrillators and, if she puts enough effort, even call down strikes of lightning to temporarily knock out an opponent. her cells generate electricity, so she can also transform electricity into any shape she desires.
bone manipulation. camellia can manipulate her bones, either a single limb or her entire skeleton, by growing, shrinking, and temporarily removing them to use as tools or weapons. the process is extremely painful so she refrains from using it.

past. camellia was born into a rich family but her parents were rarely ever home, so she spent the majority of her childhood in her room reading and playing video games. when she was thirteen her friend invited her outside because she had found something interesting, but when they wanted to come back inside, they found they had been locked out. camellia's parents were gone until much later that night, so they were stuck outside in the cold. a storm was brewing, and they stupidly decided to hide under a tree. camellia was hit by lightning, and her loyal friend carried her all the way to the hospital four blocks away. luckily, she survived, but as she went on with her normal life she realized that she had developed some sort of abilities after being struck. at school she was accidentally pushed up against a locker in the crowded hallway and the shock caused her to completely fry her cell phone. someone saw her and called an ambulance, and she was taken back to the hospital. three men in white suits grabbed her and drove her to the sanctuary, where she was sent to be tested. she's been in the sanctuary for three years now, and she usually spends her time in the library or lounge.
