appearance. mallory is a rather short girl for her age, standing at a whopping five foot two inches. she has long dirty blonde hair that spills over her chest, and bright blue eyes that resemble her as even more of a child. she has a beautiful smile with the most flashy white teeth, most likely her best feature.
accessories and scars. mallory wears a silver ring outlined in precious jewels that her father gave her before she was shipped off to the sanctuary. she has a few scratches near her hairline that she makes sure to carefully cover.

personality. mallory is a wise and intelligent girl, in a nutshell. despite her usually sticking with cold, hard facts, she is still quite the dreamer. she's always been ambitious and strives to be the smartest and best at everything. she hates to lose. mallory likes to take control of most things, but when it comes to the real deal, she relies on others for help. some might say she's a wimp, but she has a good reason for it. mallory, even though she likes to play around with her powers, adores studying and reading, especially about the history of the sanctuaries and all the info she can get about her and her friends' powers. she enjoys having the teacher's company while learning even about real subjects that other patients call boring. she always asks questions and even suggested that the teachers should hold mandatory lessons every few days and pass out written and visual tests about various math, science, and other topics. her favorite workbook to study out of has always been history, so if you ever have any questions about the latest technology or dating back to the time of the homo sapiens, mallory can proudly answer them.

powers.
cosmic teleportation. mallory has the most basic level of this power, in which she can physically teleport herself from one side of the room to another, and possibly with enough effort at most a mile away. she is more skilled in the teleportation of other objects, which have to be within her astrological power to do so. therefore, she can teleport real living stars or meteors to her and manipulate them for short periods of time. whenever she uses this power she gets massive headaches, but they go away once she takes a few pills since her body is so used to it by now.
stellarkinesis. mallory can create, shape, and manipulate all aspects of stars. she can pull stars from the sky above her even though most of the time she is under a roof, and she can produce bright beams of stars in her hands, as well as shape the beams into anything she'd like. she can also trace constellations into the air above her with just one finger, which is how she relieves her boredom most of the time. with the ability to trace constellations, she can also use that as a writing tool on the air for when she's studying.
cosmic event affinity. mallory can gain strength from various cosmic events without necessarily having to see it with her own eyes. during eclipses, she can become extremely strong. this only lasts for the duration of the eclipse, but if she puts enough effort it can last for almost twenty four hours. along with this, other events give her other abilities. meteor showers, comets, or shooting stars passing gives her body more density, in which even someone sending an uppercut to her face can have almost no effect on her jaw. when the different seasons reach their solstices, she can gain speed up to twelve times her normal amount. this power allows mallory to age slower, which is why she still appears so childlike even though she is seventeen.

past. mallory was born in south carolina, having a strong relationship with her father since birth. her mother, maggie, was a pilot, and one day when mallory was just four years old she crashed over the indian ocean and died. during her childhood, mallory and her father theodore would love going to the library together and studying history. after mallory's ninth birthday, theodore never took her anywhere anymore, and she was curious. she investigated into his papers when he was at work, and found a sheet saying they couldn't pay their rent and were kicked out of their apartment. she confronted her father when he came home and he admitted to it. they ended up moving to virginia where theodore married a new woman to take care of mallory since his new job took most of his day time away. mallory was never very fond of the new wife kaity, but she knew it was for the best. she was one day exploring the woods outside her house late at night, and while she sat down to stargaze she had followed a shooting star and watched it nearly enter her body. she was dumbfounded, and when she went back home she stupidly confronted kaity about it. kaity, who was always a strict rule follower and watched the news nearly every morning, immediately contacted theodore. mallory was only fifteen, but he explained to her that it was the best. he left her with a ring that was passed down for generations and had scientists come pick her up. from then on she wanted to prove to her father that she was still smart, and continued her studies thoroughly. she managed to make a few friends who shared her interest in learning.
