past. leah was born to two working-class parents. her father died when she was young of a stroke, so she was raised by her mother. she always worked as hard as she could in school, taking on a part-time job as soon as she was old enough, so she could help support her mum. she found she had a natural affinity for science, and as she grew, she worked harder in science than anything else. when it came to university, she was awarded a scholarship to a university that focused on biology. after graduating, leah heard from one of her friends that they were going to work at the sanctuary. she gained a doctorate so she could work as a doctor, then decided to explore that career route and got a job, where she's been working since.
