Sanctuary 001 Communal Showers

Sanctuary 001 Communal Showers is where patients can go for hygiene purposes during their roaming hours (remember that each level has two toilets outside the rooms). It is located on Level 3, along with all of the miscellaneous rooms. A long row of stalls in an insulated room stand, with a shower head and toilet inside. The door doesn't offer too much privacy because of it's height, which is why workers have added curtains to each stall more recently. Outside of the stalls are lines of sinks and cabinets that hold towels, feminine products, and other objects for hygiene. Each sink also has a bottle of toothpaste and a cup of disposable toothbrushes, as well as toothpicks and floss. Any special items patients may need is usually held in the cabinet next to the sinks. The floor has shiny blue tiles and a black drain in the middle since most people will be walking barefoot after a shower. There are no separators between boys and girls here, but further down the hallway is a door that leads to a locker room where workers and patients alike can use if they want to change into easier clothes when going to the gym or game areas. Workers have a more private, locked area of the room and can bring their own clothes, but the patients have smaller lockers and specially made uniforms. A curtain separates boys and girls, and there are many doors leading to the gym and various game areas.

Riley ran her hands under the sink, making sure the faucet was turned all the way to the cold setting. She relished the feeling on her dry, flaky hands. She took a grey towel off the rack and dried them off, impulsively shooting a bolt of lightning from her finger and causing the towel to fall onto the pristine floor in a pile of ashes. She giggled, tossing her long red hair over her shoulder. She suddenly wondered where the rest of her demonic friends were. They hadn't caused trouble in quite a while. As she walked over to the black drain in the middle of the tiles, her arms shook quite noticeably. She was used to it by now, so she brushed it off. She rubbed her hands together to create friction, and an even thicker bolt of lightning shot down the holes in the drain. She heard a few discerning sounds, probably her lightning hitting the pipes. Electricity sizzled from every one of the shower heads and she laughed, a milky laugh that matched nothing to the rest of her personality. "Be careful!" she said aloud, even though nobody was in the room with her, and her laugh continued to echo against the agonizingly white walls.

Dana walked into the showers, boots hitting the marble tiles with a tap as she nodded towards Riley as a greeting, moving over to one of the sinks. "Having fun there?" she asked, raising an eyebrow and looking over at the showers with electricity shooting out of them. Holding up her hand and twisting it so the tap turned on, she took the piece of metal she'd definitely not stolen and stretched it out into a rod, leaning onto the counter where the sinks were and lifting the rod into the sink with a quick movement, scrunching up her nose in thought and tilting her head.

Riley looked up, hazel eyes boring into Dana's boots. She wondered where she got those, glancing down at the flats provided by the Sanctuary that she was wearing. The designs she'd traced on them in marker were slowly fading away. She pursed her lips, remembering a boy that walked past the quiet room, probably on one of those special tours. He was cute. She saw the glint of metal in Dana's hands and snapped out of her thoughts. "Very much so," she responded, flicking her finger towards one of the shower heads and turned it on with her cyberkinesis, watching the water shoot out on its highest setting, smoke curling into the air. The water stopped abruptly, and the nozzles on the shower head turned pitch black. "They should really fix that." she said, suddenly getting bored and turning to Dana to see what she would do next.

Dana rolled her eyes, not looking over. "Did you break the showers for everybody again?" she asked dryly, unable to resist a short grin at that anyway. Once the rod was under the water, she twisted it slightly and then made it explode, quickly creating an almost magnetic force field around them so they wouldn't fly everywhere, and made the pieces explode again a few times until the metal was too small to see. Making the plug was in the sink, she released the magnetic field and then concentrated on the water now filled with metal, seeing if she could take some of the metal out and grinning when it worked. Letting it back into the water, she stood up again and sat on the counter instead.

Riley watched Dana in fascination, wondering how her powers made her develop a green cloud while using them. She looked down at her hands, which simply turned pale whenever she used her powers, as if all the blood was flowing away from the tips of her fingers. "No, just that one," she said, her arms starting to shake more noticeably from using her powers to such a great extent of making things explode. "It didn't have strong water flow." she smiled, propping herself up on the counter next to Dana and putting her hands underneath her thighs to try to calm them from shaking so much.

"They need to fix that then, huh," Dana hummed, scrunching up her nose. "Of course, if it's already broken," she started, holding up her hands towards it. Using one hand, she pulled the head of the shower towards her, ripping it off and bending the metal where the pipe would have been with the other hand so it wouldn't start spraying everywhere. Bringing the head over, she used her fingers to strip apart the pieces of metal, making quick gestures until the showerhead was non-existent and there were just sheets of metal on her lap. Folding the pieces together, she bit her lip slightly then split the sheets into two, folding them around until they could pass as metal bracelets and wrapping them around her wrist. "I take what I can get," she said defensively, after she'd finished, holding up her hands. "Plus, we're allowed jewellery. Between us," Dana started looking over to Riley and letting the corner of her mouth turn up. "This is how I sneak in all my metal. I just get it from everywhere else, make it into 'jewellery' and use it when I need to."

Riley grinned, and decided to try something like that with her own powers. She pulled her shirt up and bit off a small square of the fabric, twisting it around her finger to loosen it out. She rubbed a hand against her head, and already felt heat pressing onto her scalp. She hissed inwardly as a lightning bolt shot out of her index finger, and only seconds after it hit the fabric did she release it. Now there was a strange ashy pattern across the piece of her shirt, and she smiled, ringing it tightly and then tying it around her head. "Headband," was all she said, flashing her teeth. "Can you make that with your metal?" she stuck out her tongue, running the remains of the fabric she bit off under the sink water, watching it just barely swirl down the drain.

Dana nodded, grinning some more. Taking off one of the bracelets she'd made out of the showerhead, she put it on her lap and hummed in thought. Splitting it into half, she wrapped the other half around her hand then started. Stretching it out so it was thinner, she lifted it into the air and spun it around slightly, stretching out some more of the metal and running a dent through it so it looked slightly less rushed. Finally, she fiddled with it a bit so the metal was red. Putting it on her head, she turned to Riley. "How's it look?" she asked, laughing slightly.

Riley rolled her eyes, pulling the fabric of her own headband tighter around her head. "Guess some things aren't meant to be," she laughed, repeating the process with a piece of fabric she ripped off her shoulder and striking a thin bolt of lightning across it to give it a nice ashy look. She reached over and pulled the metal off of Dana's forehead and tied her own fabric in place. Now, her shirt looked even more rumpled than before, but at least the shoulder rip gave her a more sexy look. She twirled her red hair and licked her lips, feeling quite hungry. "Wish we had a friend who could manipulate food so I don't have to get up." she sighed, starting to trace little stars on her leg shakily.

Dana laughed, flicking her finger to crumple the metal into a ball. Taking it back, she made it thin again and moved it around her neck as a choker necklace. "Gotta admit, that'd be a cool power. I'm too lazy to move right now, I might just go to breakfast later instead," she replied, tilting her head. "Brunch."

Riley grimaced. "I'm so hungry," she complained, swinging her legs back and forth. "I might pass out." she added, just to guilt trip Dana. She was always the hungriest in the morning, and now especially because she was using her powers quite wastefully. "I suppose we could go in a little bit. Maybe I'll take a shower." she decided to say, and started towards the large cabinet next to the counter, grabbing the green loofah and her favorite shampoo and body wash from her personal shelf. She was glad the patients all had their own shelves. She certainly wouldn't want to use someone else's loofah. "I'll be quick." she said to Dana, legs twitching as she walked to one of the showers they hadn't broken.

"Bye bye," Dana called after her, jumping off the counter. Brushing off her arms, she looked down at her shoes and hummed lowly. Carefully, she closed her eyes. Bringing out her power like she'd move her hand, she opened them again to see the green swirling around her fingers. Reaching out, she detected the metal behind her, below her and on the showers in front of her. But she felt it strongest on her, and biting her lip she took control of the metal on her boots and ankles. Lifting it up, she wobbled slightly but steadied herself by taking control of her bracelets as well. Laughing slightly, she immediately lost balance again and fell backwards, hitting her head on the counter and falling onto her back with a loud crash and a curse.

Riley closed the door to the shower, locking it and then drawing the longer green curtain. She hung the loofah on one of the soft hooks underneath the shower head and placed the two bottles of shampoo and body wash on the ledge. She wiggled out of her clothes and reached down to turn the water on, when she heard a crash. She stood on her tip toes to look over the door, seeing Dana on the floor. "Good lord, are you alright?" she asked, pressing her lips together tightly to keep from laughing.

Dana rolled her eyes, bringing a hand to the back of her head. Sighing when she felt blood, she rolled her eyes at Riley. "Fan fucking tastic," she whined slightly, bringing her hand back and making the blood disappear from her fingers. Pushing herself to her feet and holding a hand against the back of her head, she took a small square towel and held it under cold water to soak it before moving her hand and putting the towel there instead. Holding out her hand and sitting back on the counter, she pulled the iron out of the blood and formed it into a ball. It wasn't that big in any way, if anything, it was the size of a small coin, but she made a 'hm' noise and stretched it into a ring, slotting it onto her finger.

Toni came to a halt in the hallway, sliding her hand on the door handle to enter the shower room. After a while of exercising in the gym, she felt as if she was going to die from the sweat coating her. Noticing the sound of two voices, she put on a lopsided grin. "What's up losers?" She called out, sauntering into the room and adjusting a strap on her shower-bag. "Oh, you look terrible," she snorted jokingly, eyes wandering over to the towel placed on Dana's head, "What'd you do this time? Lose more brain-cells?" Toni flashed her a grin, taking a moment to stretch out her arms, her gaze studying the room, wondering who the other voice came from.

Riley giggled at Toni's comment, massaging some shampoo into her hair and watching Dana mess around with the iron she drew from her own blood. "Do you have a concussion?" she asked with a tinge of worry in her voice, because of course Dana was her friend. But also, she didn't want to be alone during roaming hours. Toni definitely wouldn't come anywhere with her. She's probably already forgotten her pills. She craned her neck even farther above the shower door, raising a hand and shooting a very thin bolt of lightning at the iron Dana was playing with, wondering what would happen.

"What the fiddlesticks, Riley?" Dana yelped, dropping the ball onto the floor as the lightning hit it. Shoving her middle finger up at Riley, she turned to Toni and rolled her eyes. "Tripped and fell into the counter, actually. Haven't lost any brain cells, just blood. I don't think I have a concussion, let's be honest, I don't know."

Carys moved into the showers quietly, having overtaken Azrail, and looked behind her to make sure the two were also there.

Riley raised her hands in defeat, showing Dana that nothing else would be coming. She stood back normally, tilting her head back to wash out the shampoo. "What the hell are fiddlesticks?" she wondered aloud, although from the sound of the water splashing into the drain, she doubted anyone could hear her.

Daisy cupped a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing at how sneaky they were being. She looked over Carys's shoulder and saw two patients, one with blonde hair and one with green hair. "She gets to dye her hair? Not fair." she whispered, running a hand self consciously through her own dirty blonde hair.

Toni curiously glanced towards the stall that shot out the lightning; Dana addressing the girl inside shortly afteras Riley. "Well shit, okay," She chuckled slightly, with a step back from the electrocuted ball, "Nice to meet you too then!"

Azrail crouched beside Carys and Daisy, listening to the scenario unfolding in front of him. Turning to the two girls, he couldn't help but give a mischievous smile. "Should I use one of my fun tricks on them?" He questioned in a hushed whisper, referring to one of his powers being the ability to create illusions, "I'm sure they have good enough humor."

Dana picked the ball back up, flicking her finger to bring it up and holding it in her palm again, spinning it around then taking some more iron from the back of her head to form it into another ball, spinning the two around each other.

Carys made a 'hmm' noise, shrugging her shoulders. "Go for it. But don't make it too obvious, that makes it less fun."

Daisy nodded, taking a step back to let Azrail get closer. If he even needed to, she thought, because of course they were the Dangerous Seven. He could probably make them think they peed themselves without even looking at them. She almost slipped on the freshly cleaned floors, catching herself just barely against the wall with a soft thud. She winced at the sound, but flicked her finger back and forth with an audible ow.

Azrail cocked his head to the side, sensing Riley through his telepathy only a few stalls down. Creating the image he wanted in his head, his work was set to begin. A sudden bang echoed through the room, followed by a series of pipes being crushed and water spilling out through the sinks beside Dana and Toni. Without informing his fellow level four companions of his additional idea to stir more trouble, he added in audio hallucinations for the three of the girls to think they were bickering with each other.

Toni widened her eyes , stumbling back as smoke filled the stall where Riley was showering. Before she could open her mouth, water gushed out from one of the sinks behind her and sprayed her entire back. "What the hell?!" She yelled, turning around in alarm. Toni whipped around again, this time her eyes narrowed at Dana, thinking she had just blamed the situation on her with a series of foul language, although this time not including fiddlesticks.

Riley yelped as the cold water running down her chest from the shower head turned scorching hot. She looked up, seeing the metal slowly teetering back and forth, and realized that it might fall off. She quickly wrapped a towel around herself and jumped out of the shower, watching the water splash against the wall quite more roughly than normal. Steam rose up in a spiral towards the ceiling. "Who did that?" she yelled, rubbing her arm where the water had burned her harshly.

Dana spun around, her hair flying, turning to Toni. "What the hell did you just say?" she growled, lifting up her hands and watching the green and red mist swirl around them. Feeling the sinks that had just exploded, she pulled them out of the counter and shredded them, the now sharp pieces of metal raising up behind her. Spinning around again to see Riley, she hissed again, eyes narrowed as she thought she heard the other girl say something else.

Toni's eyes wildly flitted from Dana to Riley. Her anger began to bunch up in her, all the stress she had cooled off during her exercise seemed to be coming right back at an alarming rate of speed. Her fists were clenched by her sides; red, hot, fire lapping at her knuckles and up towards her wrists as she threateningly glared at the two girls.

Levana, in her panther form still, knew she could easily slip into the shadows and watch. But she knew it was better to stay out, her black pelt rippling with her shadows as she listened. She glanced to the other three next to her, her eyes narrowing slightly. I could send my shadows in and make the room completely dark while Az uses his illusions, she thought to herself, figuring maybe he could understand her thoughts and convey them to Daisy and Carys

Riley was suddenly overcome with flaring anger at what Dana had said to her. Who did she think she was, telling her off like that? It certainly didn't sound like a joke. She focused the last shreds of her mental stability on her extrasensory perception, locating the nearest computer and reaching out a hand to bring it forward. Into the showers shakily floated an old, tech dark desktop, and she breathed heavily as she manipulated it into a much larger form. She threw it at Dana, aiming for her hands where she was holding more metal. She curled her lips in a snarl when she thought back to her tracking the computer and saw a whole ass panther outside the doorway. She was now flitting between her emotions, almost whimpering as she backed away into another shower with fear and regret of trying to hurt Dana. "Sorry," she whispered, though of course no one could hear her through the conflict.

Daisy watched the scene unravel with wide eyes. By now the patients were quarreling, and she saw the green haired girl lift metal into the air, and the blonde twirling red hot fire between her fingers. She turned to Carys with a frown. "Aren't you worried they might hurt themselves? Maybe Azrail took it too far." she said quietly so he couldn't hear her.

Levana could sense one of the girls inside knew of her and she let out a deep growl; smelling a shift of emotions from her. She looked to Daisy for confirmation of if she should grow larger, hoping they would understand her some by her looks.

Dana slammed her hands together, then green and red enveloping them both as her eyes reflected it, turning green and red. Sending out a magnetic shockwave, she shattered the television and took control of it, flicking her wrists and moving it behind her with the rest of the metal. When the towel fell off her head and onto one of the rods she turned for a split second to flick it off, rolling her shoulders. "Anybody else wanna try? Huh?"

Carys bit her lip, turning to Daisy. "Do we interrupt it?"

Riley's body trembled with emotion. She hadn't meant to hurt Dana, she kept telling herself in a mantra over and over. She rocked back and forth, not daring to look out the shower door. Although she didn't hear the crash of the television she threw, which was sort of reassuring.

Daisy shrugged, turning to Levana at the sound of her low, and frankly quite scary, growl. "What's wrong?" she whispered, sitting down onto the floor and bringing her legs up underneath her chin. She wrapped her hand over Levana's front paw, showing her a sign of support as always.

Levana sniffed once more and cringed her face, a rather scary emotion on her, but she looked back to the door. “One of them knows of me, i can smell her change in emotions.” She told her, telepathically, as she looked back to Daisy. “I don’t know how but she knows of my presence, but not you three.” She added, her long black tail swishing behind her.

Azrail was well aware of the fact that the two girls were murmuring to each other about his choice of a prank, most likely discussing if they should stop him or not. However, he had already made up his mind himself and decided the illusions were enough for now; if it had continued, he wouldn't have gotten what he came for. A show. The dark haired boy stood up, the illusions disappearing in the matter of a couple of seconds as if they had never occurred. "Why don't you three introduce yourselves now?" He suggested, his gaze now pointed to Daisy and Carys while his hand lingered by the stall's lock. "Once you explain it was a joke, they'll want to hang out with you for sure." The encouraging words were obviously apart of a scheme and a lie to him, but Azrail knew they didn't quite understand socializing as well as most level two patients did.

“I’ll hang back with you if you want. Or i can scare them some more myself.” Vana mentioned to Azrail through her mind. She bared her teeth a little, showing she could come out of her comfort zone for them. She also enjoyed frightening anyone else who was not like them, not as powerful as they were.

Carys groaned, seeing the way the level 2s were all fighting, turned around and punched Azrail, aiming for his face. "She wanted to make friends, not make them piss themselves," she snarled, then turned around to face Daisy. "There's no way to get out of here now, just go ahead and we might as well apologize to them. God, do you guys have any social skills? Or do you just want to hurt people? No, scratch that, I know you do, Azzy," she finished, still whispering (well, kind of) and rolling her eyes before turning back around.

Dana turned around slowly as the taps stopped exploding, people's voices suddenly quieting. "What the hell? What the hell. What?" she repeated, dropping the powers around her hands and cringing slightly at the loud smashing of metal. Quickly spinning around again, she used her hands to press the metal into a large mix of it. Seeing the sinks that had been ripped out, she winced and tried to lay the metal back in so it at least looked normal - whether or not the sinks would actually work was another story, plus if you looked closely they still looked a little off, but hopefully anybody finding out would blame it on somebody else. With the remaining metal, she clapped her hands to squeeze it into a flat sheet, then used it to open one of the doors to the stall and opened it up, shoving the sheet of metal to the inside of that door.

The dark haired boy didn't even glance at Vana as she communicated through telepathy. I think they've had enough of being spooked for now. Although before he could continue his reply, he felt a rush of pain hit his nose. Azrail widened his eyes as he stumbled back slightly, his back hitting the stall's wall. Quickly, he recovered his balance and rubbed at his nose, now sore from the blow. His fingers slid down slightly, feeling the sticky liquid trickling towards his lips. He couldn't help but begin to chuckle at Cary's retort, but quickly wiped away the blood on the back of his hand and regained his composure. "Hm, well, if you're so worried about the situation, I don't think you'd mind stepping out there yourself," He replied, sniffing up the blood from his nose before turning to Daisy and giving off a flattering smile, "Don't you think that would be the nicest thing to do for our new friends?"

Vana nodded once to Az, lashing her tail a little before shifting once more. This time, to an iridescent black and blue snake; viper to be exact and about 4ft long. She hissed rather loudly, and glanced to Carys before sliding up her leg and to half-rest on her shoulder and back. “Hope you don’t me here.” She mentioned to Carys, her tongue flicking out fast. She wanted to get a better view of everything but also wanted to look intimidating. And she hated being a human, preferring that of her animals.

Daisy covered her mouth when Carys sent her fist plummeting towards Azrail's nose. She watched him intently after the blow, amazed at how composed he managed to look. As his eyes landed on her, she bit the inside of her cheek. "I'll try to explain what happened," she stuttered, rolling back onto her heels before stepping out of the darkness, offering a wary smile to the three girls by the sinks.

Riley let her hands drop from her ears back down to her sides, and pushed herself up. She shook her head, thinking it might have been a hallucination from her shot this morning, or something along those lines. She slowly walked back to Dana with a frown and lines etching her forehead in pain. She hoped it was enough to say sorry, but her gaze turned to the doorway where an unfamiliar blonde girl stood instead. "Do you think she did that?" she pointed as she slowly grasped the situation. That girl might have been a Dangerous Seven, one of the patients who never confronted a Level 2 for as long as Riley herself has known.

Levana hissed once more, loud enough for the three girls to hear her. If she wanted to, she could grow wings and legs and look like a mini mythical dragon. But only what she’s seen in books and read about. Instead, she moved her body a little higher, so she looked almost like a cobra; peering over Carys’ head now.

Carys looked over at Vana with a quick upward curl of the corner of her lip, turning and following Daisy out. Folding her arms and quickly leaning on one leg, she looked over to Daisy with a raise of her eyebrows as if to say, 'you went out here, I just followed you.' Under her arm, she brought back the whip and let the vine grow out of it again, her eyes slightly narrowed and her posture defensive.

Dana, nostrils flaring slightly, looked over at Riley and shrugged, her eyes still swirling. She held her hand behind her and twisted her wrist to pull off the metal handle of one of the cabinets, repeating the movement a few more times until she had four rods behind her in case of attack. "You tellin' me you did this?" she asked the newcomers, turning back to them, eyes scanning over the two blonde girls and then catching on the snake around the girl with shorter hair's neck. Twisting her wrist again, she took control of one of the sinks she'd roughly put back, without moving it. Just in case.
