appearance. aida is tanned, with black wavy hair that slides down past her shoulders and dark brown, nearly black, eyes. she's average height, leaning towards short, and usually wears black or grey - or other plain colours. her right leg from the knee down is a prosthetic.

accessories/scars. aida doesn't really wear any jewellery, except for a silver anklet around her left ankle that she's never taken off. she has multiple scars, most just jagged lines or cuts in random places around her body.

powers.
positive - portal creation. she can create a portal into another location but she has to know exactly where the room is and has to have seen it at least once. it appears purple and sparking, and is within her hands when she pulls it open like she's ripping open the world to get through.
element - umbrakinesis. she can create and manipulate shadows and darkness, as well as temporarily camouflage herself into them and sometimes teleport short distances between them. she can also get rid of lights with the darkness. if she fires the darkness out of her hands, it has a purple tint.
negative - gyrokinesis. she can manipulate gravity, attracting things to another or repelling things to another. however, if she does this, her own gravitational field can be messed up for a while - things randomly floating around her, or flying away, or shooting towards her.

personality. aida is pretty mischevious. she fights hard for what she believes in and is always moving around fast. one of her favourite things to do is mess around with the staff. brutally honest, aida doesn't have any problems with being rude or unkind, but she doesn't go out of her way to insult others. she's always been mechanical and enjoys tinkering with machines or engines, especially cars.

past. aida was born in washington with an older brother, a mum who was a doctor and a father who drove race cars. while her brother took after her mum, she half took after her dad. he taught her how to make cars faster, how to repair cars and the parts she didn't know she learned by trial and error or through google. when she was sixteen, she got the first car she could drive. she fixed parts of it to make it better, and driving and tinkering with cars became her favourite things. a year later, she discovered street racing. the borderline illegality of it made her heart race, and she joined in the races. one of the best there, street racing became aida's secret hobby. then, disaster struck. she was hit off a cliff and fell into a huge field. she didn't know how she survived, but her right leg had been trapped. she called 911, and when they got there she was taken to the hospital. while unconscious in the hospital, shadows started expanding and changing around her, as well as objects randomly getting drawn to her. after around two and a half months, she was released from the hospital with a prosthetic leg. when she got home, she was making wild gestures and trying to explain things to herself, and she accidentally created a portal to an alleyway near the bar nearest to her. she ended up going there and started drinking. as weird things kept happening to her, aida started googling things connected to her powers. she started practising with them, and as she did she became more and more self-destructive. she started doing street races again, and it was in the middle of one of them when the men from the sanctuary appeared. she attempted to fight them, and actually got one woman stuck to the car, but eventually got taken into the sanctuary.
