appearance:

kawaguchi has pale skin, bleached hair with black roots, and oceanic blue eyes. his hair is shaved in the back and spikey and long in the front, unkempt bangs and 'ear-tails' framing his face. his facial structure is sharp, but it isn't as accentuated because it is always set in a scowl. he dons a black muscle-shirt and army-green cargo pants.

accessories:

kawa has quite a few piercings, in his lip, eyebrow, and four in each ear. he has heavy gauntlets that suppress his powers clicked on each wrist. he had a golden tattoo around his neck, just a simple line. he has a long scar that goes from ear to ear, crossing the bridge of his nose. his fingers are blackened as well, built up scars from his explosions making them crusty and forever burnt.

personality:

kawa is a very angry person generally. he hates everything and everyone, and will not hesitate to blow up everything around him. his cuffs do suppress his aggressiveness slightly, as they drain his energy, but he is susceptible to baiting and gets fired up easily. he hates everything, from his wimpy roommates to the entirety of america to the very dirt on the ground. he does love his little sister though, and misses her a lot.

element (powers):

gravity manipulation: with training, he'd be able to weigh or lighten the gravity within a 100 meter radius, but for now he only has a 10 meter radius. he's able to lighten up to 5x regular gravity with effort, and weigh down 15x. he can only keep it up for ten minutes though, and it takes a toll on his body.

positive: kawa can create explosions because of the nitroglycerin-like sweat that his palms secrete, and that he can ignite on command. added to this, the more sweat he makes, the bigger the explosion. while his hands and arms are safe, the rest of his body has not built up coarse skin to protect itself from the shockwave, and he needs to be careful. this power is the reason why he has to wear power-suppressing cuffs which also have to be given added power each year as his powers increase in flexibility.

negative: his skin is burning hot at 50°c. the angrier he gets, the hotter his skin burns, and though it doesn't get redder you might see fire licking at his shoulders depending on how angry he gets.

history:

kawaguchi was raised by his older brother in canada after his father passed away. he never knew his mother, but was completely happy just with himself and katsuki. when he was six and katsuki was sixteen, they found a little girl named kinoru on the streets. they moved to washington, where katsuki was killed in a car crash and left ten-year-old kawa and his six-year-old little sister to fend for themselves. they were found and given shelter at an orphanage, and kawa developed his explosive personality when he and his little sister were separated. he unlocked his powers when he ran away to find her, and was sent to the sanctuary when he was sixteen years old. he started out on level 2, but when he was seventeen he was cuffed and relocated in level 4. he's hated everything since.
