Sanctuary 097 Observations Room

Sanctuary 097 Observations Room is where patients are taken every other day and put into a small room with a table where various triggers to their illnesses and powers are placed to see how they react. Sometimes, they will also put multiple patients together at once. Scientists take notes on their behavior for about an hour and then they are released to go along with their day. There are screens over the walls projecting holograms of each of the patients x-rays and a list of their powers and limitations. The President often comes here to observe as well.

Haley looked down at her slippers as she walked, softly placing each foot in front of the other. She didn't look up, simply kicked the door open and continued. She muttered something incomprehensible to herself, about how much she hated coming in here and wanted to leave back to the secluded corners of her room. She saw the outline of someone else's shoes and finally looked up, seeing her friend, Quinn, and relaxing only a little bit. She nodded, wringing her hands together and gently sitting down in one of the chairs. She already began to plan out how she would show off to whoever was going to observe her and her twin, Reina. First, she would pull her in, with a charming speech about how she developed her powers. Then, she would replicate the galaxy right in front of the observer's eyes, creating black holes and minuscule planets and finally adding a sun and moon in the corners of the room. Next, she was certain that her observer would ask her strange questions about different topics, almost like a trivia game. She liked it when they did that. She could show off her supernatural knowledge and wow them. Finally, the moment she dreaded - she would have to predict an event in the near future and tell the observer so they could record whether it turned out to be right or not. Of course it would be right. But even a small prediction would cause her body to slowly self-destruct, and some sort of wound would show up. It wouldn't hurt too much, she knew that, but she would have the urge to pick at it and make it worse, and she didn't want that. Her body was already painted with scars, and although it was cool when showing them off to Quinn and Reina, she hated looking at herself in the shower mirror and seeing all the different colors.
